For more than 45 years we've been improving homes across Birmingham. Traditionally, home improvements have been
sold on appearance, specification and price. And while those things clearly matter, we began asking a different
question:
If we claim your home will be more secure, more comfortable and more valuable – shouldn't we be able to measure
and prove it?
That question led to the creation of the Finesse Superhome.
What Is a Superhome?
It is a structured, whole-house improvement approach built around three measurable outcomes:
- Security
- Comfort & Energy Efficiency
- Property Value
Before any work begins, independent specialists assess the property. After installation, those same areas are
reassessed. The difference between the two tells the real story.
Not empty promises. Not fancy brochures. Not opinions. MEASURED IMPROVEMENT.
1) Security: Designed to Deter and Defend
Many homes look secure. Fewer are assessed that way.
As part of a Superhome project, vulnerable areas are identified before installation. That might include rear
elevations, older glazing, outdated locking systems or weak access points.
Following installation, security is reassessed using structured criteria. The goal is simple:
- To strengthen weak points
- Improve deterrence
- Provide homeowners with genuine peace of mind
"For the first time, we were able to go away feeling completely comfortable leaving the house, knowing
everything was secure."

That is what meaningful improvement looks like. We are exceptionally proud to have been able deliver real peace
of mind.
2) Comfort & Energy Efficiency: Reducing Heat Loss, Improving Use
Many homeowners upgrade windows expecting their home to feel warmer. Sometimes it does. Sometimes the change is
subtle.
With a Superhome, we measure it.
Using recognised EPC and SAP methodologies, we assess energy performance before and after installation.
The results can include:
- Reduced carbon emissions
- Improved EPC scores
- Better heat retention
- Lower reliance on heating
"Dramatically warmer, almost like a sauna compared to before!"

More importantly, they noticed a huge difference during a cold snap this Winter, when it mattered most.
3) Property Value: Independent Assessment
Well-executed home improvements can influence buyer appeal and market perception.
As part of the Superhome process, properties are independently valued before and after completion by experienced
local estate agents.
This assessment reflects:
- Improved presentation
- Enhanced security
- Modernised appearance
- Energy performance
- Overall market desirability
In our first completed Superhome, the post-installation valuation reflected a significant uplift.
While markets move and every home is different, the principle remains: Improvements should strengthen the asset.
Why We Created Superhomes
We believe transparency builds trust. Anyone can promise better security. Anyone can talk about energy savings.
Anyone can say they are "adding value."
Nobody is willing or able to measure the outcome. Until now.
The Superhome concept was created to align design, manufacture and installation with documented results.
It represents a more considered approach, as you'd expect from Finesse Windows.
The Bigger Picture
When done properly, the outcome is not just a new set of windows or doors. It is a home that feels:
- More secure
- More comfortable
- More valuable
- More loved
"The whole experience has made us feel like we've fallen in love with our home all over again."
Superhome client
That is ultimately what we are trying to achieve.
See It in Action
We've recently completed our first full Superhome project and documented the entire process, including
independent before-and-after assessments. You can view the full case study here:
