The Finesse Way
At a time where our energy bills are increasing exponentially with no sign of these costs decreasing, we know that by making your windows and doors more energy efficient this can reduce your energy bills and lower your carbon footprint.
Green Credentials of our UPVC
Our profile supplier was one of the first UK system manufacturers to extrude all of the profile with 100% lead free uPVC.
This means that because the virgin material is 100% lead free uPVC at the start it makes it much easier to recycle at the end of its useful life. Amazingly, uPVC windows and doors have a lifespan of up to 30-40 years and because of the high quality material within the uPVC they can be recycled up to 10 times! This makes uPVC windows and doors one of the most sustainable products in the Home Improvement market.
100% of our uPVC, steel and aluminium offcuts from our manufacturing process get recycled by one of our sustainability partners.
100% of the uPVC windows and doors removed from our customers homes during an installation are recycled by one of our sustainability partners.
General waste from our skips is segregated allowing it to be recycled, in fact we are pleased to say that 98% of our general waste is recycled.
Locally Sourced
We are proud Brummies. We readily seek local businesses and suppliers to work with. The majority of our suppliers are located within 10 miles of our factory and showroom.
We are proud to work with the very best Birmingham has to offer and actively support our local community.
18% of Heat Lost through Windows
Recent UK Government research suggests that 18% of heat loss occurs through windows; with heat seeping through single glazing and poor double glazing around twice as fast as through modern well fitted double glazing.
A homeowner replacing an entirely single-glazed detached gas heated property with A-Rated Double Glazed Windows will save £200* per year and reduce their carbon footprint by 335kg of carbon dioxide.
If you are concerned about heat loss from your home please speak to one of the Finesse Windows Design Team.
*These figures were calculated in March 2022 and thus we would expect the savings to be much higher after recent energy price increases.
