Bow Windows & Bay Windows

Our casement windows may well be the workhorse of the Finesse Birmingham Windows range and while their flexibility certainly cannot be understated, sometimes customers simply require something a little tougher. That is exactly where our bow and bay windows come in. They may be the gateway to beautiful, elegant views, but they are also the strongest windows around, something that comes in immeasurably handy considering the loads that they often need to bear. When maintaining the structural integrity of a home is of paramount importance, bow and bay windows can provide the answer. This kind of installation is something that should never be left to chance, and Finesse’s very own in-house experts can ensure that every project is designed with external requirements in mind. A large part of our guaranteed structural integrity is the fact that all of our windows are fully steel reinforced as standard. The windows themselves are also coupled together using structural aluminium supports and together, these two manufacturing elements ensure that our bow and bay windows are at the top of the industry when it comes to all-round strength. It makes for a home improvement that not only looks spectacular but will also stand the test of time and offer peace of mind at all times.

Bay Windows

Bay windows are perhaps the more common of the two reinforced window styles and generally consist of three windows of varying sizes. The central panel is often the largest, allowing for the best view, and this is then backed up by two panels, known as flankers, that are smaller in size and positioned at an angle. The flankers are usually double hung and the benefit of the larger central panel extends further than just the potential views. It also ensures that the room has adequate ventilation thanks to the style in which it is created.

Bow Windows

Unlike bay windows, bow windows can generally consist of anywhere between three and six panels and they are generally all the same size. While the angles used in bay windows are often pronounced, the number of window panels used in bow windows are generally used in order to make for a more curved look. The nature of our windows means that they are also great for ventilation and we can advise customers on whether we feel that casements, single hung or double hung bow windows are the right choice for them. Examples of this kind of window can be viewed at our showroom and you are always more than welcome to stop by. Alternatively, feel free to get in touch using the details on our contact page and we can discuss exactly how this noted focal point of any home can be right for you.
