At Finesse Windows we have always taken great pride in our commitment to helping and supporting our local community. The team at Finesse Windows decided this year to support local charity, right on our doorstep the B30 and South Birmingham Food Bank which is located on Kings Norton Business Park.

During December, our team collected and donated items such as tinned food, dried pasta and rice and other items on the desperately needed list to help families who are struggling especially at this time of year. We encouraged our customers to join in with the donations amazed by everyone’s generosity, together we were able to donate nearly 80kg of food plus an additional financial donation of £40.00 from a staff Christmas Jumper day to the charity.

Our donation was used to make up food parcels containing basic toiletries and enough food for 3 meals a day per person for 3 days, which will be given to local individuals or families in crisis. B30 and South Birmingham Food Bank has given out over 9000kg of food in the last month to feed 976 people in 471 households.

“It was very humbling to know that our donations will make a difference to so many families in need,” commented Director Ellen Franklin, “Some of our team were able to deliver our collections to the Charity and were amazed as the shear volume of donations needed and equally by how many people give up their time to organise and package the food”

Finesse Windows is a Birmingham based company and being part of a community is so important to us. From our friendly open-door policy in the showroom and factory, to always being on hand to visit customers in person, we strive to be much more than just a faceless company and are always looking for ways to interact with and support our local community.
