Traditional Conservatories

Traditional conservatories live up to their name by being the most popular choice among most customers and the diversity on offer means that there is almost always a suitable choice. While they may be styled in the same way as they have been for decades or, in some cases centuries, they can still benefit from all of the latest technologies that we contribute to every single one of our builds.

It is entirely possible to combine different types of conservatory into a single project. You may, for example, want the grandeur of a Gable conservatory roof in combination with enhanced living space in a more awkward position. Our experts could, in this case, put together both Gable and lean-to conventions to create a single conservatory to be proud of. From the first visit until the day of completion, no company can rival Finesse for our customer led approach. Whether complicated or unique, no project is too extreme for our experienced team and we invite you to get in touch with your plans for a dream traditional Conservatory by heading over to our contact page.

Victorian Conservatories

Many conservatories fall into this category, simply because it is the most popular in the country. The style lends itself to working well with existing spaces, thanks in particular to the fact that the Victorian style can be designed with three facets, for a curved appearance and wide angles for the optimisation of living space, or with five for a more rounded appearance. The roofs on these Conservatories are typically steeply pitched and a variety of design elements ensure that there are plenty of choices for those looking for something at both the modern and classical ends of the scale.

Edwardian Conservatories

While our Victorian structures are built on the premise of a curved or even rounded shape, their Edwardian counterparts differ in that they are typically rectangular with a flat front. These builds are typically more contemporary than Victorian ones, although the same design possibilities apply whereby a more traditional style is always an option.

Gable Conservatories

For customers that want their conservatory to serve as a real centrepiece to a home, the Gable style could well be the perfect solution. The shape remains the same as within a Georgian conservatory, but the difference comes from the front panel of the roof, which remains upright. The purpose of this is to create a greater sense of height within the conservatory, often enhancing the feeling of being in a truly open space.

Lean-To Conservatories

While the previous three conservatory styles are primarily traditional in a northern European sense such as the solid-roof and orangery designs, the lean-to shares more in common with a Mediterranean sun room. This is perhaps the most flexible traditional conservatory style of all as it is perfect for properties that may have little space or a rather awkward area on which to build. This is primarily assisted by a variable pitch on the roof, allowing the conservatory to slot in just about anywhere.
