January 28th 2021 – Covid 19 Update from Finesse Windows

At a time of uncertainty, we want to help you understand how we are protecting you and our team throughout this period whilst still providing our award-winning customer service.  We are constantly updating our practice in line with the Government’s latest guidance and as directed by FENSA.

I have an idea in mind, how can I arrange getting a quotation?

We have developed and have been using virtual appointments successfully for many months now.  We understand that some people may be nervous of arranging a meeting within their homes when the guidance to stay at home and keep your distance is very clear from the Government.  However, we can still help from a distance and indeed it is our preference to continue using remote appointments.  Our friendly team can guide you through all of the information we need to be able to provide solutions for your home.  A member of the design team will then get in touch to provide a personal service and at a time to suit you.  We can produce a no obligation quotation for you to consider using a comprehensive form that can be found on our website to gather all of the required information which includes photographs and measurements.  Our team is on hand to answer any questions you may have every step of the way.  We also have many pieces of literature written by our team for every part of our business that we can share with you to help with your decision.  Finding out your requirements, providing a solution for your home and agreeing the contract can all be done quite easily without the need to visit your home and all achieved in the comfort of your own home.

We also understand that for some people this approach will not work, we are all about adapting to suit your needs so if you would prefer a visit to your home this can be arranged too, we have had clear guidance from FENSA that this is allowed as long as it our strict covid secure guidelines are adhered to.

But what if my measurements are wrong?

Please do not worry, we do not manufacture your order based on your measurements that were provided to produce a quotation!  Once the designs have been drawn up, you are happy with the solution and the contract has been agreed our Surveyor will be in touch.  Everything will be checked during his visit (as is our normal process) and adjustments made at this stage if it is necessary.  You will be kept fully informed along the way.

What is in place to achieve a Covid Safe Installation?

Our Covid rules are straightforward.  We will keep our distance; we will wear a mask and we will sanitise our hands.  We have clear and detailed guidelines; We will email these to you before your installation date so that you can be sure that every precaution is being taken.  These are also in line with guidance issued by FENSA and WHICH? Trusted Traders.  However, it does mean that our friendly fitting teams will unfortunately have to continue to turn down your kind offer of cups of tea for now.

Can we visit the Showroom?

We are very proud of our Showroom but we fully understand that for now it has to remain closed.  This does not mean that you cannot see it, we have extensive photographs on our website and our design team can illustrate and answer any questions you may have on any of our products.  We have printed and downloadable brochures readily available and we can send small samples through the post so that you can actually get a feel of the profile we use.  We will help in any way we can to convey the quality of our products and of course our reviews on Which? Trusted Trader website and HomePro  are the best way to really understand Finesse Windows.

We have taken the opportunity to Spring clean and freshen up our Showroom and we will be excited to welcome customers back when the time is right.  Our coffee machine will be ready to go and our Reception team will be delighted to welcome visitors again.

We are family

The safety of our team and our customers is paramount we won’t compromise on their, or your, safety.  So please bear with us if we have to amend fitting schedules at short notice.  As has been common throughout 2020 and into 2021 we are finding that Covid 19 is causing some disruption to the efficiency of our supply chain, this is an industry-wide symptom of the global pandemic. As well as supply issues we are also finding that staffing is becoming more of an issue, we are following Government guidelines strictly so if a member of staff is symptomatic and waiting for a test result we are enforcing the relevant isolation periods so that we protect the health of our staff and our customers alike. As a true family business and are also experiencing the effects of the latest lockdown meaning that staff members are juggling childcare responsibilities as well as work commitments.

We pride ourselves on the predictability of our customer service and we want to reassure you that we will continue to do everything in our power to mitigate against anything that may detract from the experience you have with our company.  However, some things are out of our control and we believe in being transparent in advance.  It may be the case that you may wait longer than you expected to or we may have to change your installation date at short notice nevertheless our team is always on hand to help and will be glad to talk through any concerns you have.
